Darice helped Platonically Productions conceptualize a model for an untraditional theatrical film release for its romantic comedy 'X's & O's'. Her use of social media, personal networking, and marketing tools was vital in creating interest and awareness for the film. Weeks before the four screenings in Eugene, Corvallis, and Portland were to begin, Darice worked on publicizing the film and the screenings as well as garnering exposure for me, the filmmaker. She was instrumental in getting myself and the film a glowing two-page write-up in the Arts section of the Register Guard, which has the second highest newspaper circulation in Oregon. She also helped coordinate a radio interview on the popular KUGN 590AM Morning Show. In addition, she utilized her contacts within the performing arts organization, MOPAN, to bolster awareness and attendance. The screenings were a success. Audiences braved the cold, the rain, and even the snow to attend the screenings. That could only be attributed to the great buzz behind the film in the weeks and days prior to the screenings. Darice seamlessly integrated many different aspects of marketing in this campaign. I can not commend her professionalism and attention to detail enough.
