I have always wanted to learn how to use the Share This feature that you see on many websites and blogs today and it was fairly simple to set up. What’s nice about this feature is that it’s linked to several popular social networking services such as Facebook, My Space, LinkedIn, Twitter, and many others.

It’s Friday night late so I don’t have much time tonight to get into more details but I just wanted to post how exciting this new feature is to share for client’s sites. It’s very customizable and easy to use and will offer it to clients as a feature for their site if they want it.

Taking a week off for Christmas so I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. When I get back from vacation, I will have more updates to follow this posting.

Social Networking Tools

As I was updating my LinkedIn account with my resume and new projects, I found that they have a Word Press application where you can link your blog into your LinkedIn homepage which is a nice new feature. They also have a feature now where you can add your Twitter account and probably your facebook account as well. I haven’t gotten that far yet with the Facebook, I ran out of time this morning before I had to go for an appointment.

The social networking tools, such as these have been connected with each other for a while now. It’s just a question of learning how to make good use of these tools for your website and network.

As I learn more in the next few months, I will be posting as I go which will be an online journal of media skills that I will share to make it easier for others to learn to help their business grow.

So keep coming back to my blog and see what’s new as I will be posting something each week. My inspiration for these online projects was watching the movie “Jule & Julia’ the other night. Except no recipes, unless I find a good one to share :)

New Ground

Creating a blog is new ground for me but its a great way to drive traffic to a website so I am in the process of putting together this blog so I can create one for MOPAN which is one of my current clients here in Eugene. The new changes that Word Press have made over the past four years have definitely made it a lot easier for someone to start up. Please come back often and see what we have been up to. I will be adding this to my main website which is at Darice Designs .

MOPAN PSA

Here’s a PSA that my client, MOPAN did for their recent membership drive:

learning to create a blog

This is my first blog in 4 years and WordPress has definitely changed a lot since the “old days” as I will call them. It’s nice to be able to have this new install function inside the Dashboard where as before, I had to upload the files in Dreamweaver. Makes it a little more accessible especially if you aren’t at home and want to post something to your blog. I am new to this so bare with me.
